Went to our little girl’s baseball game tonight and had a sweet time. The sky was laden with thick, moody clouds, all lit up with fiery red tones from the setting sun. A subtle chill, the odd drops of rain, and the enchanting scent of orange blossoms in the air all contributed to a well-spent evening.
I felt pride as well, both for my daughter’s successful hit at bat and the smiles that lit up her face even when she struck out at other times. What a great attitude. She played in the outfield, and you could see her using her imagination, catching phantom balls in the air and throwing beautiful, imaginary passes (even though in the actual game, the ball never seemed to reach the outfield.)
